Description
On Wednesday, March 11, 2026 , from 09:00 to 14:00 , the free demonstration workshop “Use of Composting Technologies for the Management of Organic Waste” will be held in Yátova (Valencia) , a practical day aimed at learning how to apply composting technologies to transform organic waste into high quality compost and improve soil fertility and health .
This activity is part of a knowledge transfer project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and seeks to bring participants closer to the basics of the composting process, the materials that can be used, its phases and the main agronomic and environmental benefits of its use.
Workshop Objectives
- Understand the composting process and its main stages.
- Identify types of waste suitable for composting and their proper management.
- To learn about available technologies and their application in real-world contexts.
- To assess the role of composting in waste reduction and the move towards more sustainable agriculture.
