Field demonstration day on biostimulants and fertilization in Alhama de Murcia

On July 10, 2025 , farmers and professionals from the agricultural sector have a date in La Costera de Alhama (Alhama de Murcia) to attend a field demonstration day on fertilizers, organized by UPA-Murcia . Under the title " Introduction to the use of biostimulants for the optimization of fertilizer application" , the event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and seeks to offer practical and applied knowledge on new tools to improve the efficiency of fertilization.

Program of the day:

• 4:00 p.m. – Welcome and presentation of the day, distribution of materials and explanation of the program by UPA-Murcia technicians.
• 5:00 p.m. – Practical demonstration of correct fertilization techniques on a citrus farm , given by UPA-Murcia technicians.
• 6:00 p.m. – Demonstration of the use of biostimulants to optimize fertilizer effectiveness, with a presentation by Joan Villanova Calatayud , an expert in agricultural biostimulation.
• 7:00 p.m. – Presentation of conclusions and closing remarks by the UPA-Murcia technical team.
• 8:00 PM – Spanish wine to encourage exchange and networking among attendees.

The event aims to raise awareness about the efficient and sustainable use of fertilizers , integrating innovative solutions such as biostimulants , which improve nutrient absorption and crop productivity with a lower environmental impact.
