Event to monitor the ECOSPHEREWINES project
Description
The Juana de Vega Foundation is organizing this webinar as part of the ECOSPHEREWINES project, co-financed by Interreg Sudoe, which seeks to improve wine-growing landscapes as a key environmental, economic, and tourism resource in the SUDOE region.
After a year and a half of work, and with the active participation of a transnational consortium, the project is moving toward the implementation of a green infrastructure network in four areas of high ecological value. This webinar will be an opportunity to share the progress made in the various pilot areas with both associated partners and professionals and organizations interested in related projects.
The pilot areas being worked on are:
- IXP Betanzos , located in the Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo Biosphere Reserve (Galicia, Spain).
- DO Arribes , located in the Meseta Ibérica Transboundary Biosphere Reserve (Castilla y León, Spain).
- Gaillac AOC , in the Occitania region (France).
- Douro DOC , within the Natura 2000 Network (Portugal).
Aim
The purpose of this webinar is to share the progress made during the first phase of the ECOSPHEREWINES project and to open a space for dialogue with partner organizations and other individuals and initiatives interested in the sustainability of wine-growing landscapes.
It will also be a key moment to collectively reflect on the remaining challenges and delve deeper into the planning of actions for the second half of the project, strengthening synergies and knowledge transfer between territories.
