Description

The Cajamar Experience Center and the company Intersemillas are testing cover crop mixtures on fruit and citrus trees. This in-person workshop is part of this work and aims to share progress, focusing on how to properly establish and manage cover crops during the fall to ensure their healthy development.

In recent years, the use of cover crops in fruit growing has gained increasing importance, not only as a tool for sustainable soil management, but also as a fundamental strategy for improving the efficiency of production systems. These cover crops help conserve moisture, promote biodiversity, and reduce erosion, adding value to agricultural management in a context where sustainability and innovation are key.

With this purpose, at the Cajamar Experience Center we collaborate with the company Intersemillas in the evaluation of different cover crop mixtures in fruit and citrus crops, in order to understand their behavior under our conditions.

Today's event is part of this joint effort and provides an opportunity to share the progress made, focusing on the correct establishment of the covers and the management practices needed during the autumn to ensure their optimal development.
