Description

Within the framework of the DTDA2 project – Demonstration of Digital Technologies in Agri-food, the University of Cordoba (UCO) will hold a technological demonstration activity on Friday, April 24, focused on optimizing the use of inputs in agriculture.

Under the title "New technologies for the optimization of input use in agriculture" , the event will take place in the Agricultural Building of the Rabanales Campus Farm , where researchers, technicians and professionals from the sector interested in learning firsthand about innovative solutions applied to the efficient management of resources will meet.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the official opening ceremony, after which attendees will travel to the Rabanales Experimental Farm to participate in a series of demonstration stations throughout the morning. These sessions will cover key technologies for advancing towards more efficient and sustainable agriculture, including:

  • Near and remote sensors (UAV/UGV) for crop monitoring and control, by Javier Mesas Carrascosa .
  • Innovations in machinery for extensive crops , aimed at reducing the use of inputs, presented by Francisco Márquez García .
  • New solutions in machinery for woody crops , presented by Gregorio L. Blanco Roldán .
  • Remote control and management of irrigation systems , focused on optimizing water use, with the participation of Rafael González Perea .

After a lunch break, the day will continue in the afternoon with a field demonstration of prototypes and technologies , where attendees will be able to observe the actual operation of the solutions presented and their practical application in agricultural environments.

This activity is part of the knowledge transfer actions of the DTDA2 project, which seeks to bring digitalization and technological innovation closer to the agri-food sector, contributing to improving productive efficiency, reducing costs and moving towards more sustainable models.
