On April 7, 2026 , COAG will hold the conference “CAP. Environmental and social sustainability objectives. Other public policies” in Sahagún (León) , a meeting aimed at professionals in the agricultural sector interested in learning about the new CAP and its impact on agricultural activity.

The session will take place at the Rural Development, Training, Employment and ETC 780C Centre , located at C. Pedro Ponce de León, 11. 24320. Sahagún (León) , and will offer an updated view on the main regulatory changes, the agri-environmental calls planned for 2026 and the future prospects of the common agricultural policy.

The event is presented as an opportunity for farmers, ranchers, technicians and advisors to learn firsthand about the key elements of the CAP 2026 , especially regarding the objectives of environmental and social sustainability , as well as its connection with other public policies that affect the sector.

The program will begin at 10:00 AM with registration and distribution of materials. Following this, Apolinar Castellanos will open the technical session with a presentation on the new CAP 2026. Next, Daniel González will address the development of the new CAP 2026 regulations , focusing on the most relevant regulatory aspects for the sector.

Following a scheduled break at 12:00 PM , the day will continue with another presentation by Daniel González , focusing on the 2026 agri-environmental measures , where the call for proposals and the expected requirements will be detailed. Later, Susana Gallego will analyze the expectations for the next CAP , providing a forward-looking perspective on the evolution of this policy and its potential implications for farmers and livestock breeders.

The activity will conclude with a meal at 2:30 p.m. , which will also serve as a meeting and exchange space between the participants.

With this event, COAG reinforces its work of informing and supporting the agricultural sector at a key moment for adapting to the new regulatory frameworks and the sustainability challenges that will mark agricultural policy in the coming years.
