Description
The Coordinator of Farmers' and Ranchers' Organizations ( COAG ) will hold a technical workshop entitled "Diversity of Production Models: Organic, Agroecological, Regenerative, and Integrated Agriculture" on August 5th in Cortegana, Huelva . The event will take place at the Hotel Sierra Luz (C/ Jesús Nazareno s/n).
The conference will focus specifically on the carbon footprint of agriculture and livestock , addressing practical aspects of how to calculate it and reduce its environmental impact.
The planned program will be as follows:
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | General Introduction
- Current situation on agricultural emissions.
- Concept of climate compliance .
- Definition and methodology for calculating the carbon footprint.
- Applicable ISO regulations and standards.
- 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Carbon Footprint in Agriculture
- Identification of the main sources of agricultural emissions.
- Procedures for calculating the agricultural carbon footprint.
- Strategies to reduce emissions in the sector.
- Related specific regulations.
