The Biodiversity Foundation presents the new generation of climate change scenarios for Spain.
Description
On October 3, 2025 , the Biodiversity Foundation will hold the conference “Climate scenarios for adaptation in Spain” at its headquarters in Madrid (C/ Peñuelas, 10), organized by the Scenarios-PNACC Working Group, in which the Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC) , the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) , the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the foundation itself participate.
The meeting, which will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. , will present the new generation of regionalized climate change scenarios for Spain , developed based on the CMIP6 global projections used in the latest IPCC report (AR6). These scenarios, developed by AEMET and CSIC using different regionalization techniques, will provide more precise data for risk assessment and adaptation planning.
Likewise, the new version of AdapteCCa's Climate Change Scenario Viewer will be announced. This is a key, open-access tool for consulting, viewing, and downloading the most up-to-date projections on climate evolution in our country.
