The Baixo Miño region is showcasing its rural heritage in a series of workshops organized by EURURAL as part of the RURALMENTE project.

On August 6 and 7, 2025 , the Casa da Costa , in Xunqueiras, Pazos de Borbén (Pontevedra) , will host a new activity of the RURALMENTE project, promoted by Imasde Agroalimentaria and coordinated on this occasion by the Galicia Southwest Development Association EURURAL .

This is the informative day "Enhancing the Value of the Rural Heritage of Baixo Miño" , part of the RURALMENTE project's objective of encouraging the adoption of PDOs/PGIs in rural areas of strategic interest to Galicia and Extremadura.

Planned program:

August 6 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
A training and participatory day will be held, with demonstrations, debates, and presentations by experts in rural heritage enhancement. At the end of the session, attendees will enjoy a tasting of local products , showcasing the area's culinary potential.

August 7 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The second day will focus on promoting local produce and raising awareness about the importance of origin and quality in agricultural food . In addition to food production and processing, the importance of other rural activities such as crafts, music, and generational renewal will be highlighted. All of this aims to highlight the essential role of those who live and work in rural areas. The day will include live music and show cooking as tools connecting the countryside and the city.

This initiative aims to contribute to the revitalization of rural areas by enhancing their tangible and intangible heritage, promoting responsible consumption, territorial identity, and agri-food sustainability.
