8th Conference of the Chair of Agri-Food Cooperatives in Cuenca

On October 7, 2025 , the Parador Nacional de Cuenca will host the 8th Conference of the Chair of Agri-Food Cooperatives , a national meeting organized in collaboration with the Agri-Food Cooperatives of Castilla-La Mancha and sponsored by AgroBank .

This event will bring together technicians, managers, and board members from cooperatives across Spain , establishing itself as a leading forum for analysis, training, and the exchange of experiences related to agri-food cooperatives.

Contents of the day

• Presentation of the seventh annual activity report and the work program for this eighth edition, by Pilar Alguacil Marí , director of the Chair.
• Lecture by professors Manuel Alegre Nueno and Pilar Bonet (University of Valencia) and Miguel Ángel Luque (University of Almería) on the publication "Taxation and contributions of members of agri-food cooperatives, SAT and CEC" .
• Presentation of the guide “Credit Sections in Agri-Food Cooperatives” , by Josep Parcerisa (ASC, SCCL, Catalonia) and Santiago García (Agri-Food Cooperatives of Andalusia), moderated by Tomás Rojas , coordinator of the guide.
• Presentation of the practical experience of the Credit Section of the San Isidro Cooperative of Quintanar del Rey (Cuenca).
• Presentation of the awards for the best academic works on agri-food cooperativism , in recognition of talent and research applied to the sector.

The Chair's 8th Conference highlights the strategic role of agri-food cooperatives in the economy and rural development, and reinforces its commitment to innovation, training, and the professionalization of the sector.
