It offers a wide range of geospatial functions, such as data management, mapping and visualization, spatial analysis, and so on, with broad applications in agronomy.

This course, available on the ArcGIS Classroom platform, offers an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the geographic and cartographic foundations necessary for their successful application. The course provides an understanding of what a GIS is, how the ArcGIS platform is structured, and how to acquire, manage, and represent spatial data. Key issues will be addressed throughout the units, such as:

- What type of coordinate system is best suited for my project?
- What methods exist to obtain and integrate spatial data into a GIS?
