HITTS faces significant challenges in the SUDOE region, such as depopulation, demographic aging, brain drain, and insufficient appreciation of cultural and natural heritage. HITTS is a transnational project that promotes sustainable tourism, valuing the heritage of rural areas and engaging local stakeholders. It fosters the adaptive reuse of heritage and the development of innovative public-private partnerships.
The objective is to enhance the unique cultural and natural heritage of the rural areas of SUDOE through heritage revitalization, artistic creation and public-private collaboration, promoting sustainable and ecological tourism.
