Description

The Virgen de la Cabeza Institute in Marmolejo currently has more than 200 vocational training students in the agricultural sector. The current labor market increasingly demands qualified technicians with experience in international and European environments. Therefore, the center has opted for this type of international project to offer its students training more suited to the current labor market.

Specifically, the specific reasons why the project was requested are as follows:

  1. So that the training that the Center offers to students is of higher quality
  2. To strengthen the professional skills of students, teachers and staff
  3. To reduce the early school leaving rate
  4. To improve students' linguistic competence in other languages
  5. To increase the employability of future technicians trained at the Center
  6. To awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of students, discovering new markets and ideas in other countries.
Description of activities
  1. Program dissemination activities to increase awareness and increase participation
  2. Candidate selection activities, with a scale defined by merit.
  3. Student pre-preparation activities
  4. Language, occupational risk prevention and training courses regarding the activities to be carried out at the destination center
  5. Tutoring and document management activities for all the administrative requirements for mobility.
  6. Development of training agreements with the host institution, consistent with the professional, personal, and social skills the student must acquire during their academic training.
  7. Sending participants with their corresponding tutoring and agreed training program
  8. Reception activities at the destination centers and accommodation for participants.
  9. Training program activities, including activities to learn about and engage with the culture of the destination country, workplace safety activities, and language activities.
  10. Tutoring of students during the mobility period.
  11. Post-mobility certification and accreditation
  12. Dissemination of results
  13. Implementation of a new work methodology with the improvements acquired.
Objectives
  1. Improve the quality of teaching provided at the Center.
  2. Improve the professional, personal, and social skills of students, faculty, and staff.
  3. Improve the early school dropout rate, especially in Basic Vocational Training.
  4. Improve the language proficiency in other languages of those taking part in the program.
  5. Improve the employability of future technicians trained at the center.
  6. Improve the entrepreneurial spirit of future technicians.
  7. Learn about existing work techniques used in other countries in the agricultural and forestry sectors.
  8. Improve inter-institutional and cultural relations with other institutions in other European countries.
Results

This project provides continuity to previous projects and promotes future projects within the center's plan to maintain ongoing relationships with European institutions and centers. Therefore, the results are attributable to the joint development of this plan.

The following results have been achieved:

  • Improving the internationalization of the Center, greater interest in language learning in the educational community
  • Reducing fears and prejudices when traveling abroad for work or study
  • Improving students' professional, personal and social skills
  • Improving student employability
  • Motivation of Basic Vocational Training students to continue their studies
  • Improving the knowledge of teachers who have undertaken mobility and its application in their educational and training contexts
  • Greater employability of students who have completed their studies
  • Improved positioning of local companies with technicians trained at the center, as their international positioning improves thanks to the skills acquired through this program.
