Description of activities
- Target groups will participate in WP2 interviews with agricultural experts to inform the e-Manual's understanding of food loss.
- The WP3 Practice and Innovation Days will engage young people and youth centers (including disadvantaged groups) in activities to develop business ideas to address food loss and build partnerships with farmers and agri-food experts.
- The WP4 FoodE Platform connects young people with established farmers and agribusinesses and helps them become FoodE ambassadors for climate action and addressing FLW through media campaigns.
Objectives
FoodE combats food loss in Europe by raising awareness and training at least 75 young people (aged 18-35), youth organizations, and agricultural experts, inspiring them to engage in sustainable development and agriculture and implement initiatives to eliminate food loss and combat climate change. It will enable young (future) farmers to develop innovative business ideas directly related to food loss and waste, thereby increasing their employability and creating opportunities for collaboration with experts to combat food loss.
