11th RuralApps Award

The award covers innovative technological solutions in the fields of digitalisation and digital transformation such as: applications, data governance and management, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics, the Internet of Things, connectivity. The aim is for the awards to visualise possible tools that exist in the information and communication technology (ICT) market, aimed at or providing technological solutions to citizens or professionals in the agri-food, forestry and rural sectors.

This edition has two types of participation: Ruralapps-professional and Ruralapps-citizen science . The prize money is €5,000 for the winning candidates and €2,000 for the finalists , for each of the two types.

The deadline for submitting applications for the awards is from February 23 to April 22, 2024 , both dates inclusive.

The Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda ( DACC) aims to promote the application of technology for the benefit of the agri-food , forestry and/or rural sectors, rewarding functional software (embedded software, applications for mobile devices, desktop applications, cloud platforms or others) that contribute to the improvement of these areas.
