Gaudeamus igitur iuvenes dum sumus ”: (“ let us enjoy, then, while we are still young ”). During the last two years, the National Rural Network (RRN) has focused its action plan on promoting and making visible the fundamental role that rural young people play in the future of rural areas. For this purpose, the Thematic Group “Youth and the Rural Environment” was created in 2021. , made up of 39 experts from rural areas with different profiles (academic, institutional, scientific, associative, inhabitants of rural areas, etc.) and with broad representation of national territories. The objective was to define proposals and ideas that the NRN could implement, to help cover the needs of young people who live or wish to start a new life project in rural areas.

As a culmination of these last few years dedicated to meeting the expectations of rural youth and satisfying their demands, the RRN has decided to identify and publicize all rural youth entities and projects through the call “Juventud enREDada” , and whose main objective is to make visible youth initiatives and associations carried out in rural areas to motivate associations and youth participation in projects that have a favorable impact on rural communities.

Likewise, they are given a speaker so that they can communicate their own project in the way they want to express themselves. Furthermore, we consider that their projects can serve as an example and inspiration for other young people or even rural sectors and organizations that want to apply them in their own territories.

Thus, the selected projects have been:

The proposals made to the NRN by young people have been in the areas of music, photography, dance, leisure, environment, audiovisual media, theatre, plastic arts, traditions, sports, social participation, etc.

Through several compilation videos , the RRN has compiled all those projects received, which – in addition to being exhibited during Presura – have already been previously disseminated through the RRN's social networks to make them known to the largest possible segment of the population. As an example of this, here is one of the videos . You can view the rest here .
