UPA-UCE Extremadura organizes a field demonstration day on plant protection products in Alburquerque

The agricultural organization UPA-UCE Extremadura will hold a field demonstration day on June 3, 2026, focused on the use of plant protection products and the calibration of agricultural machinery, aimed at farmers, technicians and professionals in the agricultural sector interested in improving the efficiency and sustainability of their farms.

The activity will take place from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Polygon 65, Plot 6 of Alburquerque (Extremadura), and will combine theoretical content with practical demonstrations in the field.

During the day, key aspects related to the handling of plant protection products, fertilization planning and the correct regulation of application machinery will be addressed, fundamental issues to optimize treatments, reduce costs and move towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly agriculture.

The program will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a welcome and distribution of materials to attendees by the UPA-UCE Extremadura technical team. Following this, at 5:30 p.m., a session on general aspects of plant protection products will be held.

At 7:00 p.m. there will be a presentation dedicated to the criteria for establishing a fertilization plan, while at 8:00 p.m. Agroformación Extremeña will carry out a practical demonstration on the importance of calibrating plant protection machinery.

The day will conclude at 9:00 p.m. with a Spanish wine reception, which will serve as a meeting place and exchange of experiences among the participants.

These types of initiatives make it possible to bring technical knowledge closer to the field and promote good agricultural practices linked to the efficient management of inputs and the responsible use of machinery and pesticides.
