Description

The GO Olivitech is holding an in-person demonstration workshop aimed at farmers, cooperatives and regulatory boards, technology and crop protection companies, research centers and universities, government agencies, consumers, and the general public. The workshop will cover pollen and spore monitoring and disease prediction models. A demonstration of aerobiological pollen collectors will be given at the workshop.

Context of the OLIVITECH project

Olive tree diseases (olive leaf spot, olive leaf spot, anthracnose) are difficult to predict, and their treatment poses significant environmental and economic challenges. OLIVITECH aims to develop a tool that, by integrating data on olive trees, climate, and pathogens, will allow for estimating the risk of infection and reducing the number of treatments, thereby improving the sustainability and competitiveness of the sector.
