iRiego will hold the free online course “Influence of Digitalization on Society” from March 18 to 20, 2026 , a training proposal focused on analyzing how new digital tools are transforming irrigation processes, soil control and crop management.
The training will address the process of adapting the agricultural sector to digitalization solutions, focusing on its impact on both society and rural areas. Through this course, participants will gain a better understanding of the role digital technologies play in modernizing agriculture and improving farm efficiency.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of this initiative is its predominantly female focus. The course will feature two young leaders in the agricultural and livestock sector on social media, Agripilar and Agroburi , who will share their experiences, knowledge, and vision on how digitalization is influencing modern agriculture and livestock farming.
In addition to offering a practical, on-the-ground perspective, the training will include a review of the current state of digitalization in society and the agricultural sector, as well as the main future challenges in this area. In this way, the course is designed as an opportunity to reflect on the technological evolution of agriculture and the new skills needed to address this transformation.
Course structure: 16 hours in total.

- 9:15 a.m. Module 1 with AGRIPILAR : Influence of digitalization on the population: Concept of digitalization and its impact on daily life. How digitalization contributes to population retention and employment in rural areas. Case studies on the improvement in quality of life through digitalization.

- 12:30 pm. Module 1 (second part) with AGRIPILAR and AGROBURI . Activity: Group discussion on personal experiences related to digitalization and its impact on the community.
Day 2: March 19, 2026. 09:00 to 14:15.
- 9 hours. Module 2 with AGRIPILAR . The influence of digitalization on entrepreneurship: digitalization as an engine of innovation and entrepreneurship. Examples of startups that have emerged to meet the challenges of digitalization. Digital tools that facilitate the creation and management of new businesses (digital marketing, e-commerce, etc.).

- 12:15 pm . Module 3 with AGRIPILAR and AGROBURI . The influence of digitalization on the incorporation of women into agriculture: Testimonials from agricultural influencers about their experience with digitalization. Round table discussion with the influencers where participants can ask questions and reflect on the impact of digitalization on their work.
