VII Meeting of the ModernAKIS National CoP. Demonstration activities as a tool for extension and innovation

On March 24, 2026 , starting at 10:00 AM , the VII ModernAKIS CoP Meeting will take place online, focusing this time on the role of demonstration activities as a tool for extension and innovation within the AKIS ecosystem.
The meeting, which will be held via Teams in webinar format , will bring together representatives from the administration, innovation entities, technology centers, advisory networks and European projects to share experiences, approaches and best practices regarding the value of demonstration activities for knowledge transfer to the agricultural and forestry sector.
The session will be presented by Irene del Corral, from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) , and will begin with an update on the latest developments in the ModernAKIS project , presented by Amalia Hafner Táboas (FEUGA) . Following this, Juan Pedro Romero Trueba (MAPA) will address the role of demonstration activities within AKIS, introducing the central theme of the day.
Throughout the morning, various experiences related to different areas of consulting and innovation will be presented. In the forestry sector, Álvaro Picardo Nieto (CESEFOR) will present the work of the FORADVISE Forestry Advisors Network and other demonstration projects. In livestock farming, ASOPROVAC will showcase the Climate Farm Demos experience, while Jone Lizarza Durruty (INTIA) will share the cross-visits promoted within the framework of the Livenet sustainable livestock advisors network.
After an initial Q&A session, the day will continue with further examples of demonstration spaces and tools. Carmen Olmo Ferriz (CAJAMAR Group) will present the role of experimental farms as demonstration spaces , and Noemi Torralbo Coromina (DARPA) will share the demonstration activities carried out at the Agricultural Schools of Catalonia .
The program will also include a presentation by Carmen Gil Gómez (MAPA) on EU-FarmBook , as a meeting point for projects and demonstration activities; a presentation of La Vega Innova as a demonstration space by Beatriz Pablo Simón ; and a presentation on agricultural robotics and demonstration experiences from the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) , by Pau Reverté Martínez , from the Robotics Technology Unit of EURECAT .
The session will conclude with an open debate with the audience , encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences among the participants.
This new meeting of the ModernAKIS National CoP represents an opportunity to delve deeper into the role of demonstration activities as key tools to accelerate innovation, strengthen agricultural extension and improve the circulation of knowledge among the various actors in the AKIS system.
