IFAPA La Mojonera hosts the workshop “Biomass production from microalgae”
Description
Biomass production through microalgae cultivation is emerging as a strategic alternative for advancing towards a low-carbon economy and generating sustainable raw materials for multiple sectors. In this context, on Wednesday, March 4th, ASETAGA is organizing a workshop entitled “Biomass Production from Microalgae,” an in-person activity aimed at training participants in the principles, techniques, and applications of this technology.
The workshop will address biological , technological , and sustainability aspects that allow for the optimization of microalgae cultivation and utilization, with special attention to their potential uses in energy , food , and biotechnology . Microalgae are notable for their high productivity , their ability to capture CO₂ , their low land requirements , and their versatility in generating high-value biomass destined, among other things, for bioenergy , biofertilizers , or the production of bioactive compounds .
