CANNADIG investigates how to improve production and guarantee agri-food quality
CANNADIG can strengthen the agri-food sector by introducing a crop like hemp, which has numerous and important applications in various industrial sectors. Unlike most currently used crops, hemp is a plant that is almost entirely utilized. The comparison between the illicit uses of cannabis and its other applications is similar to that between the floating portion of an iceberg and the submerged portion. Furthermore, it is a plant characterized by a high capacity for CO₂ fixation, which accumulates in its plant material. The use of its fibers in various industrial applications gives it an important role in the fight against climate change. The project allows for the storage of atmospheric CO₂ and aims to advance the sustainable production of hemp to improve yield and quality while reducing resource consumption. The challenge lies in optimizing the agroecological production of Cannabis sativa in greenhouses, integrating renewable energy through a photovoltaic grid, using digital twin technology, and improving the traceability of the agri-industrial chain.
A comprehensive greenhouse cultivation model for Cannabis sativa has been implemented, based on digitalization, advanced sensor technology, efficient water and energy management, biostimulants, and complete traceability. This model optimizes the production of compounds such as CBD, reduces environmental impact, and ensures transparency and sustainability through blockchain registration. Patent: Application for a Patentability Technology Report (ITP) for a Transfer Flow Measurement Device for Enclosures (FOCOVERT). This device measures ventilation, transpiration, condensation, photosynthesis, and respiration within an enclosure occupied by living organisms, whether animals or plants. Measurements can be expressed in various units, both absolute and relative. The ITP result allows for the possibility of filing a patent application if the claims are properly formulated.
