Description
Development of biomaterials based on biodegradable and compostable polymers, at low cost through the use of agri-food waste of interest in Extremadura (tomato, olive oil and rice sectors) and their comprehensive management.
Results
Complete pipeline for converting agri-food waste into biopolymers, including pretreatment and production, timelines, and yields. Bio-based biopolymers with lower cost and environmental footprint, and validation for packaging in meat models.
