Organic Horticulture
Description
Do you want to dedicate yourself professionally to the production of organic and locally sourced food? Do you want to gradually convert your farm to organic farming? Do you want to get started with some of the techniques and possibilities that organic farming offers, for your own consumption or as a source of supplemental income? This Organic Farming course will train you in organic cultivation, resource management, and soil management.
Contents
I. Introduction to organic farming.
II. Soil and fertility management in organic crops.
III. Water management in organic farming.
IV. Management of health problems in organic agriculture.
V. Main horticultural families and examples of crops with agroecological management.
Recipients
Unemployed individuals registered with INAEM employment offices, agricultural workers, the self-employed, or those on furlough (ERTE), as well as young people interested in joining agroecological production, are eligible. Prior experience in the Aragonese agri-food sector will be considered an asset. Basic math and language skills will also be valued.
Center
The Río Gállego Center provides training in the areas of environment, gardening, nursery management, agriculture, forestry, floral art and leisure in specialties that correspond to the demands of the labor market.
