Goals
Pests and diseases can cause significant economic losses and jeopardize food security. Therefore, it is vital to implement effective control measures. Currently, the various pests and diseases that attack crops can be efficiently controlled by implementing truly integrated pest management systems.
- To provide the necessary knowledge in the detection, identification and management of the main pests and diseases of the vineyard crop, providing possible new developments or threats to those who may be affected and giving guidelines for action in each case.
- To publicize new technologies and strategies for managing pests, diseases and weeds, as well as the correct use of insecticides and fungicides in order to optimize their use, preventing pests from developing resistance, while also protecting human health and the environment.
