The final result will be the presentation of a "Transnational Strategy for the Use of Reclaimed Water" and the "Reclaimed Water Resources Hub for Agriculture." What is reclaimed water? It is treated wastewater that undergoes further treatment to reduce its pollutant load and can be reused for various purposes: agriculture, urban areas, industry, recreation, aquaculture, livestock, forestry, or environmental applications. The 16 partners collaborating on I-ReWater form a multidisciplinary consortium, complemented by the support of 39 collaborating entities. Follow our activity on social media:
During the next three years (2024-2026), the main objective of the I-ReWater project will be to improve the management of water resources in agriculture, integrating the use of reclaimed urban water in agricultural crops and considering environmental aspects that ensure its proper use due to the current climate crisis.
