Conference on the future CAP 2028-2034: May 20 at the Spanish Engineering Institute

On May 20th at 9:45 a.m. , the conference "Guidelines and conditions in the design of the CAP 2028-34" will be held in Madrid, organized by the Spanish Engineering Institute (IIE) , the National Association of Agricultural Engineers (ANIA) and the Agrarian Forum Foundation .
The event seeks to create a space for reflection and debate that will contribute to shaping a consensual Spanish position on the future Common Agricultural Policy , which will address key challenges such as food security, sovereignty, and the sustainability of the European agri-food system.
The conference will address topics such as the European Commission's vision for the future of the agri-food sector, the initial budgetary guidelines for the new CAP, the experience gained from the 2023-2027 CAP, and the specific challenges of its implementation in Spain, such as digitalization and support for rural areas.
The program includes keynote presentations from representatives of the Government, the European Parliament, Tragsatec, and FEGA, as well as a roundtable discussion with representatives from UPA, ASAJA, and the Coalition for Another CAP , who will discuss the ambitions of the new European agricultural framework.
The event will conclude at 2:15 p.m. with a Spanish wine tasting. Attendance is free, but registration is required through the Spanish Institute of Engineering website.
