SOSVITI Operational Group: Creation of a DSS (Decision Support System) tool for sustainable soil management in viticulture
- Type Operational group
- Status In progress
- Execution 2023 -2025
- Assigned Budget 298.848,07 €
- Scope Autonómico
- Autonomous community Andalucía
- Project website GO SOSVITI
Description of activities
- PT1. Monitoring of soil, water and plant conditions in relation to climate using experimental plots, ground-based sensors, proximity and satellite remote sensing
- Task 1a. Soil erosion measurements in the experimental plots for each natural rainfall event (15-20 events per year between autumn and spring) and when some type of management is applied to the soil and plant (3-4 times a year), in addition to during the fruit harvest period (for 10 days - September/October).
- Task 1b. Specific vineyard characterization measurements that allow for zoning vineyards for treatment application or the design of specific solutions. Task 1c. Continuous extraction of vineyard information using satellite remote sensing.
- PT2. ANALYSIS OF STAKEHOLDERS' PERCEPTIONS OF DEGRADATION PROCESSES AND AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES IN THE VINEYARD. NECESSARY DIGITAL TOOLS.
- Task 2a. The first phase will consist of in-depth interviews with key stakeholders across the Granada Wine DO.
- Task 2b. In the second phase, a structured questionnaire will be administered to assess farmers' and relevant stakeholders' perceptions of soil management in the selected regions.
- PT3. Creating a comprehensive DSS tool with all available environmental information using information technologies linked to artificial intelligence, big data, and the cloud.
- Task 3a: A first step will be to create the infrastructure of the digital tool in the cloud.
- Task 3b: Once the infrastructure has been defined, the tool's backend will be created.
- PT4. BUSINESS AND POPULATION DISSEMINATION + FINAL REPORT WRITING PHASE
Objectives
Creation of a decision support tool (DSS) supported by artificial intelligence and data mining to sustainably manage soils in fields cultivated with vines
