The app, designed to quickly and efficiently access milk monitoring results, will improve farmers' decision-making and increase herd production efficiency. This will be achieved by incorporating new analytical models for differentiated somatic cell counts, urea, and ketosis, allowing for better characterization of herds and the application of results obtained from milk sample analysis.
This software tool will enhance dairy monitoring and increase the number of dairy farmers seeking it, thus achieving a more technologically advanced sector. Furthermore, the parameters developed will be a valuable tool for veterinary technicians, improving their technical skills and communication with farmers.
The project consists of four main activities, in addition to results dissemination and coordination activities. Technical activities include the identification of parameters of interest derived from dairy monitoring results, with the aim of helping to improve livestock efficiency and decision-making.
To facilitate the interpretation of these parameters and the results of milk monitoring, an app will be developed for dairy farmers. Furthermore, new analytical parameters will be incorporated into milk monitoring, such as differentiated somatic cell count, urea, and ketosis. In addition, work will be done on the validation and interpretation of these parameters.
The overall objective of this project is to improve the efficiency, professionalization, and welfare of the Andalusian Friesian breed through the digitalization of milk monitoring data and the modeling of new equations in FOSS measuring equipment.
The following specific objectives are defined:
- Development of a software application that allows the storage and interpretation of dairy monitoring data.
- Incorporation of predictive models for the analysis of urea, ketosis and differentiated somatic cell count
