Between September 12 and October 2, Miguel Hernández University has launched a series of conferences entitled "The Challenges of Agriculture: Technological Innovation and Digitalization ", which will be held in Orihuela, Elche and Pilar de la Horadada. Specifically:

  • September 12: 19:00h. Orihuela. La Lonja.
  • 24 September: 19:00h Elche. Congress Centre. Filet de Fora, 1.
  • October 2: 7:00 p.m. Pilar de la Horada. Coop. Surinver.

The cycle has the financial support of the Alicante Provincial Council and is organised in collaboration with the town councils of Orihuela, Elche and Pilar de la Horadada. The activity is aimed at farmers, agricultural professionals and the general public.

Orihuela was the setting for the first session, which was held at La Lonja. Irrigation using soil probes, nitrate control and precision agriculture were the focus of the conferences.

On the 24th, precision irrigation and the use of drones for diagnostic imaging will be the main topics.

At the conference scheduled for October 2, high-tech greenhouse management, precision irrigation and the use of drones will be the main topics of the program.
