Description
The aim of this project is to develop a procedure that includes a specific blood collection protocol in each slaughterhouse, taking into account the particularities of each one and always following good handling practices.
Description of activities
The activities carried out are:
- Optimization of storage and transport conditions until blood processing.
- Definition of blood processing conditions to obtain sterile plasma and serum, taking into account the particularities of the species (bovine, porcine).
- Characterization of different bovine and porcine plasmas and serums under the criteria of pharmacological laboratories (clients).
- Development of specific procedures for storage and distribution of the product to the end customer, including shelf life.
