ECOCIGAN Operational Group: Selection of circular economy tools that generate innovative solutions for the livestock production system

The creation of this Operational Group aims to understand how to apply the principles of the circular economy (preserving and enhancing natural capital, optimizing resource use, and promoting system efficiency) to livestock farms within the COVAP scope.

For each type of operation, the Operational Group establishes an action plan detailing the percentage of impact reduction, the investment, and the expected economic return. In a second phase, the most appropriate processes and technologies for water reuse, the use of renewable energy, and waste reduction, along with their economic impact, are described.
