Description
This Task Force aims to overcome land abandonment and rural abandonment, which are associated with other problems such as depopulation, environmental issues, loss of wealth-generating opportunities due to underutilization of resources, and so on, by creating an innovative digital environment. They propose the creation of a comprehensive digital solution (platform) to boost the forestry sector and preserve and enhance ecosystems related to forestry.
Objectives
- Promote the forestry sector for more efficient, productive, competitive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly use of resources.
- Contribute to the stable and sustainable supply of renewable natural resources. Create added value through a closer relationship between agricultural and forestry research and practices, encouraging greater use of available knowledge.
- Generate sustainable and innovative economic development in rural areas.
- Improve the quality of life and social inclusion, and prevent any form of discrimination against forest and rural regions. Improve infrastructure and services for the population that contribute to equal opportunities.
- Improve processes to protect the environment.
- Creating links between technology and cutting-edge knowledge in the forestry world.
- Promote faster and more widely implemented practical application of innovative solutions.
- Securing and attracting population through economic processes linked to the conservation and valorization of forest resources.
