Operational Group: Application of precision agriculture techniques to forage crops

This Task Force seeks to implement innovative techniques in the food system, maintaining a crop rotation called double cropping with forage corn (summer crop) in rotation with winter forage crops such as triticale, rye, barley, oats, or ryegrass, etc.

These forages are harvested green and ensiled, providing the forage base for feeding. This innovative process explores the possibility of applying precision agriculture techniques, based on knowledge and differential treatment of plots, supported by ICTs and two positioning systems.
