Objectives

This Operational Group has the following objectives:

  • Allow for fewer handling and work on hives, which will reduce time and free up labor.
  • Increased productivity and reduced costs in hive care.
  • New application techniques and/or effective supports for both natural active ingredients and the necessary food for bees and larvae.
  • The combination with mite control strategies through the use of sanitary funds.
    • This new support, excipient, or application technique aims to: improve product effectiveness and/or release products in a more controlled, consistent manner without negatively affecting bees; reduce the post-treatment residual levels that can be analyzed; facilitate and standardize application; reduce occupational and personal risks; offer a support or formulation that does not affect beekeepers during application; reduce application costs; reduce product costs; reduce work on hives; improve the profitability of hives and, therefore, of beekeeping; reduce the environmental impact, reduce waste generation and the carbon footprint, and improve the quality of the product obtained.
