Operational Group: New remote sensing models in olive groves to improve productivity and the environment

The productivity and crop stage prediction model will allow for adjusting water, fertilizer, and phytosanitary treatment requirements and coordinating these efforts for DCOOP's 110 members, thereby reducing costs and inputs, and therefore the environmental pollution associated with fertilizers and phytosanitary products, and will allow for adjusting costs to predicted yields.

The program will reach the 75,000 families that make up DCOOP, IFAPA will carry out outreach in the academic field, and the Andalusian Agro-Food Cooperatives will use their agricultural contact networks, which encompass almost all agro-industrial cooperatives.
