Description

The high degree of specialization and competitiveness of production companies has led to a dramatic increase in the use of ICT tools applied to the production system. Furthermore, the government facilitates data reuse through Open Data policies. With the increasing use of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technological tools, there is an opportunity to improve management and results across all processes and stages of the agricultural value chain.

It is essential to achieve proper integration of the various existing databases. The platform will enable standardization and integration of data from the Almería agricultural sector, originating from the Internet of Things, experimental data, production data, traceability, marketing, and economic systems and tools. These data, when analyzed using data mining, big data, and machine learning tools, will allow for the development of predictive models that, when implemented in expert systems (software), provide added value for strategic decision-making.

Objectives

The Operational Group is developing a project to standardize and integrate data from Almería's agricultural sector and government sources. This will allow for analysis using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence tools, as well as the development of predictive models that add value to decision-making.
