Application of data analytic techniques for predicting production in olive groves

The main objective of the Operational Group is the application of DATA ANALYTICS techniques for the prediction of production in olive groves, improving the economic profitability of the crop and the participation and orientation of the olive grower in the market.

To this end, large volumes of data on the natural resources available in olive groves (soil, climate, variety, etc.) and supplementary resources (irrigation, fertilisation, phytosanitary products, etc.) will be analysed, allowing statistical models of crop behaviour to be created and extrapolated to predictive models that will characterise favourable and unfavourable scenarios, thus facilitating prevention through early warning and good management of crop resources. Based on informed decision-making, the fat yield will be optimised and at the lowest associated cost.
