Operational Group: Physical conversion of agricultural, agro-industrial and forestry biomass in the El Condado region

The objective of the Operational Group is the installation and start-up, in the region of El Condado, of a Physical Conversion Center for residual biomass of agricultural origin (firewood and olive pruning remains), agro-industrial (olive pits from the oil mill) and forestry (forest waste) for the production of solid biofuels suitable for use in industrial and domestic thermal generation equipment (standardized chips and clean, dry olive pits). Specific objectives:

• 1- Promoting population settlement and job creation, especially among young people and women.
• 2- Creation of the technical and human infrastructure that provides self-management of local and natural biomass in rural areas.
• 3- Production, selection and marketing of chips focused on thermal applications in the domestic and healthcare sectors.
• 4- Dissemination and communication of the benefits of biomass consumption in the environment where it is produced, processed and consumed.
