Description

RESINLAB promotes a network of experimental territories where the different actors in the resin value chain can co-create solutions in order to guarantee innovation focused on users and territories.

Objectives
  • Promotion of new models for the professionalization of the resin trade.
  • Development of new extraction technologies that ensure sustainable use.
  • Creation of a data observatory to ensure traceability and transparency and facilitate decision-making.
Results
  • Formation of 3 provincial associations of resin collectors.
  • Study and analysis of aid to resin producers by community and province.
  • Knowledge transfer, training, advice and exchange of experiences among resin producers.
  • Execution, monitoring and comparison of mechanized versus traditional resin extraction in 8 Living Labs.
  • Creation of a manual of good practices for mechanized resin processing. Quality analysis and characterization of resin samples from 6 Living Labs.
  • Development of a sector database with a query viewer and a map of optimal areas for resin extraction.
  • Creation of a network of experts and an online library for the resin sector.
  • Development of a decision-making support tool and a profitability calculator for the resin producer and the owner ( https://observatororesinasnaturales.es/ ).
