The CARBOGAN Operational Group will announce its objectives at the 2025 Spanish Forestry Congress.

The CARBOGAN Operational Group has announced its participation in the IX Spanish Forestry Congress , which will be held from July 16 to 20, 2025 in Gijón , as part of its outreach and awareness-raising activities on the importance of forest management as a tool for carbon capture and sustainable rural development .

During the event, the group will present the objectives, progress, and benefits of its project through the display of roll-ups and the distribution of informational brochures , in order to bring its proposal closer to the scientific community, forestry sector professionals, and the general public.

The Spanish Forestry Congress, organized by the Spanish Society of Forestry Sciences, is the leading meeting place for forestry experts, technicians, researchers, and managers in Spain. Its 2025 edition will be held under the theme "Forest intelligence, driving alliances in the territories," an ideal framework for highlighting initiatives like CARBOGAN, which promote innovative solutions to climate change.

The CARBOGAN Operational Group is working to develop tools that allow for the valuation of carbon stored in sustainably managed forest systems , thereby contributing to the generation of new business models based on ecosystem services and the fight against rural depopulation.
