The Catholic Agricultural Cooperative COOP. For the fifth consecutive year, this event will bring together the Extra Virgin Olive Oil sector for three days in Cocentaina (Alicante). Interesting technical sessions that include round tables and conferences, showcookings and tastings with the interaction of the public and, as a central activity, the International EVOO Competition, whose prizes will be awarded on the third and last day of the event, Friday, January 31, 2025. These awards are given by the prestigious Official Tasting Panel of the Valencian Community in five categories: three awards in the general category and two special awards: for the best organic EVOO and the best EVOO of the Valencian Community. These awards are completed with the recognition of the organization to different personalities or entities for their work in promoting and defending Extra Virgin Olive Oil. On Wednesday, January 29, the "AOVE in feminine: women protagonists in the cooperative economic model" conference will take place, organized by the Association of Women of Agro-food Cooperatives of Spain (AMCAE) and financed by the MAPA. In-person technical conference aimed at presenting innovative solutions to boost agricultural productivity.

Improving the qualifications of professionals in the agri-food sector and rural areas Be aware of the general labelling requirements for agri-food companies to avoid errors or mistakes in the information provided that can cause serious harm to companies, such as product recalls, sanctions, etc. Recipients: Directors, managers, managers and food quality and safety technicians from cooperatives and food companies, preferably; and in general, consultants on food quality, safety and sustainability.

During this session, the Recicland project will be presented , and theory will be taught on the environmental consequences of hazardous waste management and on the internal management of pesticide containers, broth residues, and expired or discontinued products on the farm, as well as on the management of this hazardous waste off-farm.

The main objective of this event is to bring together key leaders and professionals in the wine sector to analyse in depth the current outlook and prepare strategies for the peak sales season and other decisive moments of the year. During the event, key topics will be discussed, such as wine production projections , consumer trends in national and international markets, and price expectations in different product categories. In addition, the opportunities offered by new marketing channels, especially e-commerce, and their impact on the expansion of the sector will be explored . The meeting will also be a platform to examine the challenges facing the industry in a competitive and constantly evolving global environment, offering a space for the exchange of ideas and collaboration between the different actors in the value chain. New consumer trends are evolving rapidly, driven by changes in technology, sustainability and consumer preferences. The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural World and Environment of the Government of La Rioja organizes the Sustainable management and soil quality conference, within the framework of the European project " Phos4Cycle. Monitoring of phosphates in agricultural and livestock activities for the sustainable use of soil and water, of the Interreg Sudoe program ". The Phos4Cycle project aims to develop a common strategy and action plan for the management of phosphates associated with agricultural and livestock activity in rural areas. Among the strategies evaluated in the project is the application of biochar in different crops. The use of biochar has been increasing in recent years due to the environmental benefits attributed to it. This conference will discuss how the application of biochar affects soil quality and carbon dynamics, as well as experiences of its use in different crops.
