In 2025, innovation , efficient water management , sustainability , training and the impetus for companies to enter international markets will be the focus of the exhibition and technical sessions that make up this international event, which showcases the latest advances in irrigation and water management. Sustainable irrigation in agriculture Innovations and products for agricultural irrigation and water management in the agricultural environment have a large exhibition space at this professional water fair, to show cutting-edge technology and as a meeting point for the exchange of specialized knowledge. On December 10, 2024, at the University of Huelva, the HIDRONUT_SAT Operational Group (GO) “Application of high-resolution satellite images from the Copernicus program in the management of nutrition and irrigation in citrus crops” will present its objectives and progress during the ATTENTIA project Dissemination Day. This meeting will feature the researcher from the University of Huelva, Alberto Zabalo and Carlos Chacón, from the Department of Field – PRL – García Carrión 1.890 SL, members of the HIDRONUT Operational Group , to bring together objectives and advances deployed in this initiative. It should be noted that through this innovative initiative, the Andalusian citrus sector will have access to new digital tools to optimize water and nutrient management, and improve decision-making for the economic and environmental sustainability of producers and industry, improving traceability and transparency in transactions between the links in the production chain. The 2nd Congress of Agricultural Engineering, organised by the Council of Official Colleges of Technical Agricultural Engineers of Spain and the Official College of Technical Agricultural and Forestry Engineers of Catalonia, will take place on 13 and 14 November at the Higher Technical School of Agri-Food and Forestry Engineering and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Lleida. Until September 5, those professionals who want to get started in promoting R&D&I projects can apply to participate in the new Seminar for Advisors on R&D&I Projects of the European Union , which the CDTI is organizing between October 14 and 17, 2024. This is the 29th edition of an event aimed primarily at organisations with the capacity to participate in Horizon Europe , and specifically, at people whose main activity is supporting the participation of Spanish entities in research, technological development and innovation activities financed by the European Union through Horizon Europe and related initiatives. Between September 12 and October 2, Miguel Hernández University has launched a series of conferences entitled "The Challenges of Agriculture: Technological Innovation and Digitalization ", which will be held in Orihuela, Elche and Pilar de la Horadada. On July 3, the conference "Models of international transfers: university and business" will take place, which is part of the EIV-UPM 2024 activities program at the Boadilla del Monte Campus. The 62nd edition of the Feria Nacional del Campo (National Countryside Fair) will begin on June 26 in Manzanares. It is a meeting point for the sector with more than 42 million euros in merchandise on display and a program of more than forty activities including technical conferences, tastings of agricultural and food products, workshops and competitions, with the participation of more than 204 exhibitors. Transfer Day on the use of “ Digital Technologies for Irrigation Efficiency and Applications in Precision Agriculture ” within the framework of the European DATI Project of the PRIMA program, aimed at the development and validation of new technological solutions to improve irrigation efficiency in crops in the Mediterranean basin.
