Dissemination day of the results of GO UBAVIDA (Sustainable strategies from the vineyard to the winery for obtaining grapes with a low sugar concentration and non-alcoholic wine)

On March 12, a day will be held to disseminate the results of the GO UBAVIDA project (Sustainable strategies from the vineyard to the winery to obtain grapes with low sugar concentration and dealcoholized wine) in hybrid format, online and in person at the Emina Ribera winery (Carretera de San Bernardo s/n, 47359 Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid). Contents: Idiomatic perception of non-alcoholic wine. Communication of results of wine descriptors and non-alcoholic wine for future consumers UBAVIDA technical advances: Results of the different protocols for the production of dealcoholized wines in Rías Baixas. Valorising plant waste from agricultural farms. CompostAnd and Gasolive projects.

Conference aimed at knowledge transfer and dissemination of the Compostand projects (Experimentation and Transfer on the Reuse and Composting of Organic Waste from the Most Representative Extensive and Fruit Crops in Western Andalusia) and Gasolive (Demonstration of a gasification system for olive grove by-products and olive oil extraction to obtain energy and organic fertilizers); which aim to promote the sustainable management of plant waste in the agricultural sector. Closing event of the Rebo2Vino Supra-autonomous Operational Group

The closing event of the Supra-autonomous Operative Group Rebo2Vino “Circular economy for the reuse of glass bottles in the wine sector: Analysis of impacts and feasibility, and design of digital tools” will take place on February 26 in Madrid, where the main results and conclusions drawn will be reviewed. The project ends in March 2025 and has lasted almost 29 months of execution, during which two pilot tests have been developed (in Catalonia and Jerez) and all the impact categories of the Life Cycle Analysis have been analysed to determine the environmental and economic viability of implementing a potential reuse model in the wine sector. In addition, the main barriers and critical points have been identified, and a series of tools have been developed that will be helpful for future implementation at a national level. The Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) has made a very positive assessment of this project, considered strategic for the sector at a national level, and which lays the foundations for continuing to advance and scale up the results at a European level. We would like to thank the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training for supporting this Operational Group, whose financing through the EU Next Generation Funds has been key to the development of the project and achieving the expected results. The closing ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., followed by an aperitif during which the pilot wines will be displayed with the reusable bottle designed in the project.

V EVOO International Forum Fira de Tots Sants Cocentaina 2025

The Catholic Agricultural Cooperative COOP. V. de Cocentaina , in collaboration with the Fira de Tots Sants, Cocentaina City Council , is organizing the fifth International EVOO Forum, Technical Conference and EVOO Competition. For the fifth consecutive year, this event will bring together the Extra Virgin Olive Oil sector for three days in Cocentaina (Alicante). Interesting technical sessions that include round tables and conferences, showcookings and tastings with the interaction of the public and, as a central activity, the International EVOO Competition, whose prizes will be awarded on the third and last day of the event, Friday, January 31, 2025. These awards are given by the prestigious Official Tasting Panel of the Valencian Community in five categories: three awards in the general category and two special awards: for the best organic EVOO and the best EVOO of the Valencian Community. These awards are completed with the recognition of the organization to different personalities or entities for their work in promoting and defending Extra Virgin Olive Oil. On Wednesday, January 29, the "AOVE in feminine: women protagonists in the cooperative economic model" conference will take place, organized by the Association of Women of Agro-food Cooperatives of Spain (AMCAE) and financed by the MAPA. The Cocentaina Cooperative received the Agro-food Cooperatives of Spain Award in 2021, in the Equal Opportunities category. New consumer trends are evolving rapidly, driven by changes in technology, sustainability and consumer preferences. The fair will be held in November at the Feria de Madrid-Ifema venue.
