The tenth edition of the technical conference "Vineyard cultivation and grape quality" will take place on February 27 at the Palacio de Villachica Winery, Peñafiel (Valladolid). The event will feature the participation of Enrique Pascual, President of the CRDO Ribera del Duero and, among other topics, AI and its application in precision viticulture or the future of viticulture in the DO Ribera del Duero will be addressed. The objective of this technical workshop is to deepen knowledge of the mechanisms that facilitate soil improvement, the factors that increase organic matter, understand how they work and how we can enhance them, as well as point out which practices can be negative. The results of studies on vineyard soil management, carried out by INCAVI, will be presented with the aim of defining sustainable strategies that promote the quality of grapes and wine. IRTA will consider introducing new molecular analysis technologies that allow us to understand soil biology, better understand how it works, and improve its management. The VIII Technical Forum on Plant Health organized by the Center for Plant Health and Certification will take place on November 28 in the Auditorium of the Mediterranean Agricultural Institute of Zaragoza

On October 30th, a technical conference will be held focused on pistachio cultivation, where key issues to optimize its production and management will be addressed. The opening presentation will be given by Julián Guerrero, agricultural technical advisor of OMNIApistacho, who will talk about the present and future of pistachio cultivation, including technical and agronomic considerations. The day will continue with presentations by Dr. Raquel Martínez, from the 'El Chaparrillo' Centre (IRIAF), on sensors and new technologies applied to pistachio trees, followed by Daniele Di Raimondo from Green Has Group, who will explain how to increase production with biostimulants. Experts will also participate, such as Itamar Buisán, who will reflect on mechanized harvesting, and Estefan Araque from Agbar Agriculture, who will discuss smart pruning to improve production. Within the framework of the Riudoms Hazelnut Fair, on August 6, the technical conference "Approach to regenerative agriculture" will take place, organized by the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the College of Agricultural Technical Engineers of Catalonia. Although soil biology has been known for decades, it has only been in recent years that people have become aware of the damage that conventional agricultural practices have caused to the soil. Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Castilla-La Mancha will present an intuitive software to help wineries differentiate the quality of grapes and establish payments based on objective criteria, allowing detailed and segmented queries through a GIS tool, thus improving efficiency and competitiveness in the value chain. The second edition of the demonstration day "Variable dosing equipment for phytosanitary products" will take place on July 9th at Finca La Grajera . Organized by the Government of La Rioja , the event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue with a field demonstration of the phytosanitary application equipment. Transfer Day on the use of “ Digital Technologies for Irrigation Efficiency and Applications in Precision Agriculture ” within the framework of the European DATI Project of the PRIMA program, aimed at the development and validation of new technological solutions to improve irrigation efficiency in crops in the Mediterranean basin.
