On April 29 , the Mogollón farm, located in La Rinconada (Seville) , will host a demonstration event organized by the Andalusian Regional Government 's Demofarm project. The event will focus on the digitalization of citrus farms , showcasing technologies applied to crop management and monitoring. The day will begin with a presentation by the Demofarm Andalucía (Tragsatec) technical team, followed by a field visit where various tools used in citrus production will be demonstrated, including: Digital traps for fruit flies Monitoring the irrigation network Temperature, humidity and electrical conductivity sensors in soil and plants Satellite platform and management software Trunk and fruit dendrometers for monitoring crop development The activity will feature the participation of Daniel Esquivel , technician at Finca Mogollón (CRESCASA), along with the Demofarm Andalucía team. The UBAVIDA ( Sustainable Vineyard-to-Winery Strategies for Obtaining Low-Sugar Grapes and Dealcoholized Wine) project plans to hold a Demonstration Workshop , which is part of its outreach activities and will focus on the analysis of the first wines and a demonstration of the agronomic techniques used in the project. The GO PRERIVID It plans to hold a demonstration workshop, “Predicting vineyard water needs for sustainable use of irrigation water,” which is part of its outreach activities. Registration for the first OrganicAdviceNetwork cross-tour: "Organic Viticulture in Italy" is open until February 25th OrganicAdviceNetwork , the knowledge exchange network between organic production advisors recently launched in Spain, is organizing its first cross-visit for advisors from Southern Europe, focusing, on this occasion, on organic viticulture and its adaptation to climate change. This visit is designed for advisors interested in organic viticulture , both those with experience and those who want to start in the sector. It will be a unique opportunity to learn about different advisory approaches , share experiences and explore strategies for adapting to climate change in organic vineyards and wineries. During two days of field visits , participants will learn about different strategies for managing organic vineyards and wineries, share experiences with advisors from all over Europe and explore innovative business models. Day 2: Demonstration Day Location: Moratalla Palace The second day will offer a hands-on experience in the historic Moratalla Palace and its surroundings. The technical sessions will continue with demonstrations in citrus farms, where innovative solutions will be applied directly in the field. On March 12, a day will be held to disseminate the results of the GO UBAVIDA project (Sustainable strategies from the vineyard to the winery to obtain grapes with low sugar concentration and dealcoholized wine) in hybrid format, online and in person at the Emina Ribera winery (Carretera de San Bernardo s/n, 47359 Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid). The tenth edition of the technical conference "Vineyard cultivation and grape quality" will take place on February 27 at the Palacio de Villachica Winery, Peñafiel (Valladolid). The event will feature the participation of Enrique Pascual, President of the CRDO Ribera del Duero and, among other topics, AI and its application in precision viticulture or the future of viticulture in the DO Ribera del Duero will be addressed. The objective of this technical workshop is to deepen knowledge of the mechanisms that facilitate soil improvement, the factors that increase organic matter, understand how they work and how we can enhance them, as well as point out which practices can be negative. The results of studies on vineyard soil management, carried out by INCAVI, will be presented with the aim of defining sustainable strategies that promote the quality of grapes and wine. IRTA will consider introducing new molecular analysis technologies that allow us to understand soil biology, better understand how it works, and improve its management. On December 10, 2024, at the University of Huelva, the HIDRONUT_SAT Operational Group (GO) “Application of high-resolution satellite images from the Copernicus program in the management of nutrition and irrigation in citrus crops” will present its objectives and progress during the ATTENTIA project Dissemination Day. This meeting will feature the researcher from the University of Huelva, Alberto Zabalo and Carlos Chacón, from the Department of Field – PRL – García Carrión 1.890 SL, members of the HIDRONUT Operational Group , to bring together objectives and advances deployed in this initiative. It should be noted that through this innovative initiative, the Andalusian citrus sector will have access to new digital tools to optimize water and nutrient management, and improve decision-making for the economic and environmental sustainability of producers and industry, improving traceability and transparency in transactions between the links in the production chain.
