The tenth edition of the technical conference "Vineyard cultivation and grape quality" will take place on February 27 at the Palacio de Villachica Winery, Peñafiel (Valladolid). The event will feature the participation of Enrique Pascual, President of the CRDO Ribera del Duero and, among other topics, AI and its application in precision viticulture or the future of viticulture in the DO Ribera del Duero will be addressed. The objective of this technical workshop is to deepen knowledge of the mechanisms that facilitate soil improvement, the factors that increase organic matter, understand how they work and how we can enhance them, as well as point out which practices can be negative. The results of studies on vineyard soil management, carried out by INCAVI, will be presented with the aim of defining sustainable strategies that promote the quality of grapes and wine. IRTA will consider introducing new molecular analysis technologies that allow us to understand soil biology, better understand how it works, and improve its management. On December 10, 2024, at the University of Huelva, the HIDRONUT_SAT Operational Group (GO) “Application of high-resolution satellite images from the Copernicus program in the management of nutrition and irrigation in citrus crops” will present its objectives and progress during the ATTENTIA project Dissemination Day. This meeting will feature the researcher from the University of Huelva, Alberto Zabalo and Carlos Chacón, from the Department of Field – PRL – García Carrión 1.890 SL, members of the HIDRONUT Operational Group , to bring together objectives and advances deployed in this initiative. It should be noted that through this innovative initiative, the Andalusian citrus sector will have access to new digital tools to optimize water and nutrient management, and improve decision-making for the economic and environmental sustainability of producers and industry, improving traceability and transparency in transactions between the links in the production chain. GO HIDRONUT is formed by García Carrión 1890 and the Campus of International Excellence in Agro-Food Consortium (ceiA3) together with the research group ' Integrated management of agricultural and natural resources | AGR-227 ' of the University of Huelva, with the collaboration of the Association for Rural Development of Western Andévalo-Adrao. The VIII Technical Forum on Plant Health organized by the Center for Plant Health and Certification will take place on November 28 in the Auditorium of the Mediterranean Agricultural Institute of Zaragoza

On October 29, the Demofarm technical conference will be held in Andalusia, focusing on "Digital transformation tools in citrus." The event will offer participants a practical overview of the latest technologies applied to citrus cultivation , with a guided tour of Finca Mogollón , where innovative monitoring and sensor solutions have been implemented to optimize water management and pest control. Digital tools for citrus cultivation Technologies to be presented include irrigation network monitoring, digital traps for the detection of Ceratitis Capitata , soil and plant sensors, and the use of satellite imaging platforms . The Demofarm Andalucía technical team, together with Tragsatec , will guide attendees throughout the day, explaining how these tools work and their benefits for more efficient management of farms. The day will end with an assessment of the implementation of these technologies by Daniel Esquivel, a technician at CRESCASA's Finca Mogollón, who will share his experience in the digitalization of citrus cultivation. The Vitivinicultural Technical Days - Harvest Assembly 2024 will focus on modernising and making the region's wine industry more competitive, adapting to the new environmental requirements of the CAP and climate and global challenges. Trends such as the decline in global wine consumption and the demand for innovative, lower-alcohol, sweet and sparkling products will be addressed, in order to better align with current and future global markets. The importance of the cooperative model will also be highlighted, promoting the professionalization, commercial integration, internationalization and sustainability of cooperative wineries. Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Castilla-La Mancha will present an intuitive software to help wineries differentiate the quality of grapes and establish payments based on objective criteria, allowing detailed and segmented queries through a GIS tool, thus improving efficiency and competitiveness in the value chain. The second edition of the demonstration day "Variable dosing equipment for phytosanitary products" will take place on July 9th at Finca La Grajera . Organized by the Government of La Rioja , the event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue with a field demonstration of the phytosanitary application equipment. Issues such as: Monitoring and management of variable dosage treatments CAP aid. Management of agricultural inputs using variable dosing technologies. Aimed primarily at farmers and industry experts, the event has limited capacity, so registration is mandatory.
