Start date: 21/01/2026
Ending date: 21/01/2026
Modality: Online
Location: On-line

Description

Innovation in agriculture thrives when people connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. With this idea as a starting point, the next session of the Webinars on Wednesdays (WoW) series will be held on January 21, 2026. This online event will bring together key players in Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) from across Europe.

The webinar, which will take place online from 10:00 to 11:30 (CET) , is organized within the framework of the collaboration between modernAKIS and ATTRACTISS , two European initiatives that work together to strengthen innovation support services and knowledge flows in the agricultural sector.

This 90-minute WoW session will focus on how shared digital spaces—WoW webinars themselves and the akisConnect platform, as a prime example—facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the practical application of new ideas by advisors, researchers, farmers, and innovation support services.

Throughout the event, we will address how AKIS actors can:

  • Use shared digital tools to improve collaboration, training, and knowledge flows.
  • Learn from the experiences of other European professionals through WoW webinars and transfer that learning to your daily work in innovation.
  • Leveraging digital platforms to support advisory work, co-creation, innovation intermediation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

The program will begin with a behind-the-scenes look at the WoW series: its origins, the achievements to date, and the prospects for 2026. It will also analyze how the collaboration between modernAKIS and ATTRACTISS enriches the content and expands the European community of AKIS actors.

In addition, practical experiences will be shared on the use of digital tools to improve AKIS coordination, strengthen advisory capacities, and support innovation processes in Europe. An active member of the akisConnect network will explain how participation in WoW webinars and other digital exchanges has directly influenced their actual innovation activities, from experimentation in advisory services to peer-to-peer learning initiatives.

The session will also include a presentation of the newly launched akisConnect Forum , conceived as a digital tool for continuous exchange, accompanied by the testimony of a pioneering consultant who will show how to use the forum to connect with colleagues, find solutions, gain new perspectives and strengthen their innovative practice.

Finally, we will reflect on the role of everyday digital tools—such as WhatsApp groups or Facebook communities—in practical learning, networking, and agile problem-solving in the day-to-day operations of agricultural holdings.

This interactive WoW webinar will bring together participants from across Europe to exchange experiences, reflect on digital collaboration, and be inspired by the power of collective action. It's a key opportunity to connect, learn, and strengthen innovative practices in European agriculture.
