The Union of Farmers and Ranchers of La Rioja (UAGR-COAG) will hold a technical conference on September 4, 2025 , at the Grañón Town Hall , entitled "Fertilization of extensive crops with new technology fertilizers."

The meeting aims to bring farmers and technicians closer to the latest innovations in localized fertilization and precision agriculture , with a special focus on their application in field crops such as cereals, sugar beets, vineyards, and corn.

Program of the day

  • 9:00–9:15 | Reception of attendees.
  • 9:15-9:30 | Opening of the session, led by Óscar Salazar (president of UAGR-COAG) and Roberto Ruiz-Clavijo (union coordinator of UAGR-COAG).
  • 09:30-10:30 | Presentation of the results of the Demonstration Field on in-line fertilization using new technology fertilizers , by Víctor Salgado Padilla (UAGR-COAG technician) and Eva Mª Oca Ibáñez (Demonstration Field promoter).
  • 10:30-11:30 | Fertilizers for localizing the planting line and applied technologies to improve their effectiveness , by Sara San Martín (Fertinagro-Biotech, R&D Department).
  • 11:30-12:00 | Break.
  • 12:00-13:00 | Nutrient Behavior in Soil and Crops: Practical Tools for Precision Agriculture in Cereals, Sugar Beets, Vineyards, and Corn , by Jorge Miñón (PhD in Agricultural Engineering and Technical Director of AGRAE SOLUTIONS).
  • 1:00-2:00 PM | Direct sowing and in-line fertilization machinery , by Enrique Domínguez Alonso (Sales Manager, Pita SL).

The UAGR-COAG emphasizes that these types of activities are key to transferring knowledge and improving the sustainability of Riojan agriculture , promoting innovative practices that increase the efficiency of nutrient use and reduce environmental impact.
