Research and innovation in the service of food
Description
At this in-person event, Cajamar will present the book: Agri-food research and innovation systems in the world, which analyzes how research and innovation have evolved in recent decades in different countries and regions (USA, EU, Netherlands, Italy, France, Israel, New Zealand, China and Spain itself) with the help of experts in each country.
The event will extend beyond the book launch. We will have the participation of the FAO, the United Nations agency designated to study and guide the future of food systems. Based on their perspective, we will address the major challenges that will shape the coming decades and discuss the crucial role that research and innovation must play in meeting global food needs.
This event is part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Las Palmerillas Experimental Station, a milestone that reflects Cajamar's commitment to generating and disseminating knowledge. This commitment, from its inception, has aimed to drive progress in the agricultural sector, support farmers, and contribute to ensuring global food security.
