Online technical workshop: Agricultural, livestock and forestry biodiversity

On October 15, 2025 , the Galician Forestry Sector Association ( ASEFOGA) is organizing the 5th edition of the Technical Conference on Agricultural, Livestock and Forestry Biodiversity , an online event that will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The conference will address the importance of agroforestry biodiversity as a key pillar for the sector's sustainability and resilience. A technical and practical program will analyze legal frameworks, European and national strategies , and CAP measures related to biodiversity conservation.
The content is structured in five blocks:
- Introduction to agroforestry biodiversity: concepts, benefits and threats.
- International and national context: European Biodiversity Strategy 2030, Spanish policies and current state of the sector.
- Regulations and sectoral strategies in Spain: conservation and integration of biodiversity in different productive areas.
- The CAP and biodiversity: eco-schemes, environmental conditionalities and specific measures.
- Best practices and conservation experiences: examples in regenerative agriculture, extensive grazing, and sustainable forest management.
This training is aimed at technicians, advisors, ranchers, farmers, and forestry professionals who wish to update their knowledge of biodiversity and implement practical solutions on their farms.
